Author's Response: I tend to agree, but it was one of the pairings my recipient requested in the fest I wrote this fic for. The Neville/Seamus I'd intended to write wasn't working out, and this was the backup fic. *shrug* Deadlines aren't always your friend!

I think it would be totally foreign to Neville's character to involve himself with a student.
