That is one black piece of work! I'm just gobsmacked. I've always admired your writing, and to know that you can create something so different from what I normally read from you, well, I'm even more impressed. I suppose I can't say that it's a completely different bit of work, though; you stay true to creating characters that I feel as if I know, characters about whom I care. Well done, sir!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. You're right. This one is well outside my usual range of stories and (probably for that reason) it took me an age to write. A great deal of credit must go to the BBC documentary, and the fact that I realised, while watching the remarkable Poly Styrene that this was Marauders-Era Britain. The tune haunted me too. -N-

Yes I am so happy that you finally wrote a story from the marauders era. This was very interesting, but I enjoyed it. I have always wondered what happened to Lily's friends. I really hope you continue to write stories from this time period.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This story took be an age to write, mostly because of my researches into late '70's Britain. I don't have any more Marauders era stories planned, but then I hadn't planned this one, so... -N-
