I do know how I would start a sequel to this if I ever feel like I have the time or inclincation but at the moment I am working on a long H/R piece and, although I'm a very slow writer compared to some, I am very much enjoying it. I'm sure we can let the hair grow back at some point although, it should be said that you have put your finger on a quite important plot-point there for the sequel, as it is currently in my head. My first reaction after reading this was just ... WOW ...
It was heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time. There was a scary sort of logic in the notion that Voldemort's death could have sucked Harry's magic away from him somehow and it made me shudder to think that could have been a plausible ending to the books. And of course, there was logic in Neville's explanation for how that happened.
I could sadly see Harry running away if that had happened, and it is so perfectly believable that Ron would have gone after him, no matter what the cost to himself, and that he would have somehow found the strength to give Harry whatever he had to in order to make him whole again.
Powerful, and beautifully written. As much as I liked the one I just betaed, I have to say it pales in comparison to this one and really makes you appreciate the distinction between a fluffy, happy piece and soul sucking angst.
I really hope you will do the sequel at some point, and give Harry at least a little chance to be in control again.
And for goodness sake, give us back that gorgeous messy dark hair!
