Oh that's just too sad. Very good, but sad. It makes me wonder how the twins would be in a more serious role, that isn't really explored in the book, even when Mr. W and Ron get hurt they keep it light. You did a good job of exploring it. :)

I just had to post and let you know that I enjoyed this. Never in a million years would I have thought I could like a R/G story, not my genre of choice, but you really made this good. You let them find each other through mutual comfort, companionship and love. Who knew Remus and George could be a romantic story! :) It's funny and hot and sweet. Cheers!

whew! At first I was really hating Hermione, she needed a *thump* but I'm glad you redeemed her before the end. Poor Ron- I like how you wrote him, before, during, and after the naughtiness. .... the naughtiness was quite hot too!

I adore protector!Ron, shuffling to his bedside in the middle of the night (of course he hates waking and does this only for Harry) and all the tender stroking. His careful daily observations.
The kiss on the temple.... through the pajamas groping to bare sking to..... uhnggg - yes, so sweet for the boys.
And the hot, clumsy, hot, painful for ron, hot, concerned harry, hot sex. Yes. Very, very, yes. :)

I've been reading this one all along and it is so sweet and the plot so convincing. I almost couldn't read it at first, I was so afraid you would make vampire!Ron evil, but you didn't, he is just as precious as ever!
You've written them so loving and bonded and still so male (I think some H/R fics have them too effeminate) I love the mental communication, he way Harry breaks down when he can't feel Ron. I love the way they play with dominence over each other and then submit to each other afterwards. guh!

Thank you for saying you feel they come across as masculine; I think of them as characters in love with each other as individuals, less about the gender, but they seem all *male* to me. Such a quiet, thoughtful chapter. It was a joy to be in Ron's head this whole time. I was going to miss a whole chapter without Harry, but you gave him to us in the memory -that was nice.

I read Harry's changing, with pounding heart through my fingers. It's was agonizing from Ron's POV, but so beautifully written.
Be wary of this fledgling, who may or may not be yours anymore -Oh no -you're killing me with this! Please take care of them (it's your story, you keep doing your thing lady!) but take care of them!

This chapter had very different feel, a different intensity than the previous one.
Ron is so precious, but I'm still nervous about Harry. You've led us to trust Martin, but Harry doesn't trust him, and I want to trust Harry... but Ron trusts Martin.. *conflict*

I can't decide how I feel yet, I'm eagerly waiting for the epilogue.
I can't believe that Harry just wouldn't care about missing the lives of Hermione and the Weasleys. The fact that he could walk away from them, only truly loving Ron means that the vamp!Harry has lost some of the precious things about him that I love.
Still, they will be together forever now, so that's good. There should never be a Ron without his Harry, or a Harry without his Wheezy.

I struggled with that, but given the way things were going, I felt it would be truer to the story if Harry did change a lot due to being a vampire, and it definitely means he's lost some things: his overt sympathetic humanity, for one thing.

I'm so sad to see this one end. Here in the epilogue you captured that epic, romantic, intrigue that the whole story has carried all along. Such beautiful language and imagery.
The smut was toe-curling yummy. The handles on the wall, and Ron's hand joins Harry's on one. oi! yes! Nice use of the word "pistoning" heh!
I'm still sad for them and their time apart and the way the Change affected Harry. He didn't seem to really care about Hermione's death, aside from wanting to comfort Ron. *sigh again*

Yeah, Harry took to his immortality far more quickly than Ron, but as Martin warned both of them, staying immersed with mortals can make a vampire mad because there's just so much loss... at least Harry was there when Ron was ready to move on.
