Site Updates
Hi all, The Captains, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Snape, and Draco have all been hard at work trying to deal with Goblins that had been messing with the code on the site. We believe we have all the errors corrected with the exception of two or three evil goblins that will be fixed over the weekend.
Please note we have upgraded our PHP to 5.3 tonight and upgraded E Fiction

Closed to Submissions

Hello, Quidditch fans!

A quick announcement from the admins:

We, the staff of the Quidditch Pitch, apologize for our lackluster performance of late. As the Chudley Cannons would say, we are in a rebuilding phase of our organization.

In order to allow our staff to find the best stories possible we must announce:

Submissions Closed Until June 1

We are in the midst of a beta marathon and need the extra time to concentrate on the stories that have been caught up in the down time.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to sharing the Potter love!!

In order to catch up on the submissions received and prepare for the stories percolating in your brains after the first of the final Harry Potter movies are released, the Captains have decided to close the Submissions Queue starting Friday, October 15 at 12:01 AM EDT. All stories received after this time will not be accepted.

The Submissions Queue will reopen on Friday, November 19th at 12:01 AM EDT. We plan to have events on that date, so stay tuned and get those stories submitted in the next few days!

Going to Infinitus?
Well, [info]tqpannie and I will be at Infinitus this year. We're registered and will likely host a meet-up or two. Shout out if you're going! :)

Submission Queue Re-opened
Sorry that this announcement has been delayed, but hey, the Captains had a HUGE hangover and have just now recovered.

The submission queue is now reopened and the Quidditch Coordinators and Quidditch Assistants will gladly get back to approving, uploading, and betaing. Or, you know, whatever the hell they do. (I never said I'd give up sarcasm for New Years...)

Happy writing and reading!!

On May 3, 2008, the Captains: [info]almond_joyz, [info]madam_minnie,[info]tqpannie, and [info]simons_flower gathered for what turned out to be [info]simons_flower’s last podcast—The Fanboy Chat Part Deux.

The episode (number 12 in case you were wondering) never aired. Thanks to our fabulous sound editor [info]wolfiekins, the fanboy chat with [info]leviathan0999, [info]thanfiction, and [info]daddybear716 has found a voice.

Simons Flower was our moderator for this podcast.

We dedicate this recording in loving memory of Captain [info]simons_flower and hope you enjoy her laugh one more time.

Disclaimer: No fanboys were harmed in the recording of this podcast. It may lower your intelligence (as it did for us). Neither the Captains nor the participants of this podcast will be held responsible if you spit coffee on your monitor while listening.

There is a beautiful online obituary posted for Trisha. You can log in and read the comments and leave your own.

Hi,

We wanted to do something to let [info]simons_flower's daughter know just what an amazing person her mom was. We want her sister and parents to know how many lives their Trisha touched. I wanted Mr. Simonsflower to know how much we loved her, how much we will miss her, and how many times she made us laugh.

So what do you do here? Post your memories of Trisha. Post pictures-post quotes from her stories.

Your memories can become Jocelyn's, Stephanie (her sister), Jim's (hubby) and her parents memories.

We're going to put the community into book form and send it to Jim to give to Jocelyn.

We want her to know how much we all loved her mom.

The community is [info]flowers4trisha and you can find it here

Simons Flower Edit | Delete In 2003 I met a wonderful woman and writer. [info]simons_flower. I remember the first time I met her I was in total awe because she was my favorite trio writer.
Over the years she has played Hermione to my Ron and to [info]madam_minnie's Harry. I know I will be able to put into words later how much she mean to me but right now the words won't come.

I got a call this morning actually two calls. One from [info]flotsomnjetsom and later one from Jim her husband. I want to emphasize that this isn't a joke or a game and defintley not fake.

Jim found [info]simons_flower this morning on the floor of the bathroom. The EMT's were called but they were unable to revive her. She passed away this morning in her home.

Please keep her daughter in your thoughts and prayers. Please keep her sister and family in your thoughts and prayers.

Trisha was 37 years old. She was an amazing writer, she was fearless, she was my best friend. She made me a better writer, a better person, and she was always there for me.

I don't have any information on funeral arrangements but I will be updating with public post as regularly as I can.

My heart is broken right now and I'll never be the same.

If you want direct emails please email me at tqpannie@gmail.com

To all of you who loved Trisha--Remember her laugh. She had the most amazing laugh.

[info]simons_flower helped to start TQP and I don't know what we will do without her.
