The Quidditch Pitch and Phoenix Rising have partnered for a challenge. Challenge submissions will open on September 1st 2006 and run through September 30th 2006, with the winner being announced on October 7th 2006.

Eligibility
Staff of Phoenix Rising and The Quidditch Pitch are disqualified from entering the competition. Competitors do not have to be TQP members, but as membership is open and easy to attain, it is encouraged. Both TQP & Phoenix Rising must approve of any given entry for it to be qualified for the competition.

Entries for the Challenge

1. This is a fanfiction contest
2. NC-17 material is not allowed, but all ratings R and below will be allowed.
3. Your entry must be original to you. By submitting your entry, you represent and warrant that you are the author of all elements of your entry or, if you are not the author of one or more elements, that you have the right to use all elements of your entry.

Staff of Phoenix Rising and The Quidditch Pitch will choose 5 fics to be voted on. The vote is open to everyone, but it will be a "blind vote," capitalizing on the Masquerade theme. Once the winner is announced, the entries will be "unmasked."

Prize
The winner will be given the opportunity to choose a mask (or masks) in an amount up to $25 from Any Time Costumes

The Captains are excited to bring you our Poetry Challenge!

Do you have the words of a poet? Do lines of poetry stimulate and excite you? If so, we've got the perfect challenge for you this month.

There are two parts to this challenge. The Quidditch Pitch will accept poetry or limericks. We've also put together some "lines" of poetry for you to choose from when writing your story.

The Rules

1. No word limit for poems or limericks

3. All stories must be at least 500 words.

Summary: The One With All the Endings Challenge


Time is drawing short for the Harry Potter series. In just a few months we'll have many of the answers we've been seeking since the first book. Everyone has their own theory about how the series will end and The Quidditch Pitch is challenging you to put quill to parchment and write your version of the ending.

This challenge will be a two month long challenge, allowing authors the time to develop and organize their ideas.

The Rules

1. All stories must be a minimum of 500 words.
2. All stories should be prebetad.
3. All stories must be meet our submission guidelines.
4. All stories must be submitted by June 29, 2007 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
5. Voting will commence on July 1, 2007 and end on July 12, 2007.
6. The winner will get a $10.00 gift certificate to the movie theater of their choice.
