very very good, one of the best i have ever read on this site. a great 'general ron' who is absolutely canon. i want more!
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it and that it stands out so. I'm not really a Ron writer, so I doubt I'll ever revisit him, but I'm glad those who like him find him true to canon. Thanks for the review.

very nice! finally we see ron the stategist again! i completely agree with this analysis of ron's character. he is both smart and brave besides being the funny sidekick... more, more!
Author's Response: I wish we did see more of that Ron in fanfic. I'm so glad you enjoyed my story--thanks so much for the review

apart from the fact that i totally fail at chess (and don't have a tactical bone in my body - therefor you're speaking a foreign language with all the 'moves') i love this piece. it gives a great insight into the possible backstory and i love the 3 dimensional ron.
Author's Response: I'm glad chess being foreign to you didn't hurt you from enjoying it too much! And that you liked my Ron. Thanks so much for the review!

I like the style of this very much, as well as being inside Ron's head. My only quibble is that Ron wouldn't know about Snape's Unbreakable Vow -- unless this is set sometime after HBP and Harry has managed to find Snape and extract that information from him. Otherwise, excellent work.
Author's Response: Harry overheard Snape talk to Draco about the Vow early on--in fact, it was Ron who explained the ramifications to Harry--that you die if you break the Vow. The Vow also came up in the scene in the Hospital Wing. I'm glad you enjoyed the style of the work, and the story overall. Thanks for the review.

This was wonderful. A brilliant look into the mind of Ron and how he relates things to chess. It's a very interesting take on Snape and Dumbledore too!
Oh and I'm the review you lost!
