This certainly puts a new spin on how Sirius ended up in Azkaban. I can see how they could fall into this pattern of addiction/abuse, especially considering how traumatic their lives had been. Very haunting images of Lupin in Canada, and the scenes with he and Snape...whoa! Deliciously dark!
Author's Response: I'm so glad you appreciated this; now you see what my formerly more common angst style is like. I do love writing the dark fics, and I'm pleased that you felt it was haunting. I figure all three of those men are very complicated, and in my mind, perhaps prone to something like what I subjected them to.
