This story was really good. You POV for Ron seemed spot on.
Author's Response: Thank you! Ron had to be recognisable, but I also wanted him to be different; for that spark of anger, the fight in him, to be muted. His self-esteem is at an incredibly low point, and he's letting Hermione get away with treating him horribly, because he's holding out hope that by being so self-sacrificing, she'll come to love him.

LOL - oh, wow, you were brutal to Hermione! What a bitch! *snort* Poor Ron. I liked seeing both the twins here.
I liked 'let himself be hugged' by Harry and the sex wasn't flowery but sometimes chocolatey. Hee.
I know I was! *hides from the Hermione lovers* I really had to make her very self-centred, because I couldn't imagine her doing something so vicious as setting bees on Ron unless she was that way. It's the first time I've ever written her behaving badly without redeeming her. In a lot of ways, this was about showing how unbalanced things could end up if Hermione wouldn't give a little of her control up and if Ron let his self esteem issues dominate his behaviour. Both of them are at their worst, but we feel sorry for Ron because he's the perceived victim.
I'm on a bit of a re-Fredding spree. I can't help myself. George is just too sad and lonely without him.
I think Ron's too shocked and miserable to do anything at that moment but 'let himself be hugged', just stand there and let Harry wrap his arms around him. Also, Harry's been so absent, and all of Ron's 'comfort', if you could call it that, has been coming from Hermione. This is likely the first time in many months he's received physical comfort from someone who wasn't using him for sex, or a family member. I think Harry's extended work hours abruptly shortened, from then on, too. I'd imagine sharing a room with Ron, when Ron was shagging Hermione, was stressful. Even though they used Hermione's bedroom, if Harry had a crush on Ron, he most likely decided it was easier to be absent.
Chocolate can be manly! Especially when it's smeared on manly body parts...

Yay! I absolutely adore the way you used "the birds and the bees" prompt. The description of the bee-stings had me cringing though!
My favourite part
He stepped forward and hugged me, and I let myself be hugged. I let him wrap his arms tight around me while I sniffled and cried into his shoulder, and only minutes later I let him unbutton my shirt while I kissed him desperately.
And the last paragraph!
You never dissapoint!
Author's Response: It was honestly the first thing I thought of when I saw the prompt - "Hermione strikes again!" But to make it believeable that she'd do something so horrible as set bees on Ron, I had to really focus on her self-absorption, and make her drunk into the bargain. I don't know how well this story will go down with hardcore Hermione fans, because it's not a very flattering angle to see her from. It was also very difficult to write an angsty hurt/comfort and still make it light enough for the specs of the challenge! I kept reading it back and cringing, because Ron is so miserable, it's a bit heavy for the funny and fluffy theme.
