What a great story! You pack a lot of action into a few chapters, but also allow the characters to develope.
I was in England in May, but we just did London, Salisbury and Bath. Maybe next time we will go north.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review. This is a fairy story (in fact, it's Hansel and Gretel with a twist) so it was always going to be short, and grim (or should that be Grimm?). It was supposed to be my last Lavender story for a while, but then I got the idea for Brown.
I've never been to Salisbury, or Bath! I really must see Stonehenge. Perhaps next year, I'm certainly not travelling south during the Olympics.

Suppurate was entirely new to me, but, you've impressed my surgeon husband! :) He agrees that I need to read more Lovecraft!
Author's Response:
I read a lot, and a lot of it dates back 50+ years (Lovecraft, Dorothy L Sayers, Raymond Chandler, Jack Vance) I suspect that's where the words have come from.

Jeez, I love your stories! Thank you so much for the excellent read, and for the new word, too! I don't remember hearing/reading "suppurate" before!
Author's Response:
Thanks. I have yet another Mark/Lavender story in the works, but I need to get back to other stuff, too. Suppurate? Read more H P Lovecraft.

Oh that's mean to leave us hanging like that! Please update soon. Is the redhead a Weasley?
Author's Response:
The next update will be in two weeks, but in the meanwhile a younger and less married Lavender will appear in another MIT story. Not all redheads are Weasleys, trust me, I live with one (a redhead, that is).

Oohh, a new installment of Mark and Lavender! And a great one at that. I look forward to more.
Author's Response:
Thanks. This story won’t be as romantic as Moon (if Moon was romantic). There will be more, but you’ll see more Grave Days, Spontaneity, and Strangers at Drakeshaugh first.
