Gah! I'm all in knots about how to feel about the chapter and that it's the end but for the Epilogue.
I understand why Harry would want to step away, to become more of the loner that "traditional" vampires are, but at the same time I feel sorry for Ron that, while he'll now have Harry forever, he doesn't have Harry forever.
In any case, excellent job!

Many thanks- I'm afraid I got a little sentimental at the end, but Ron had had to go through so much. I'll write something nice and dark and angsty and unresolved next! And you're right; the downside to being immortal is seeing your mortal loved ones pass along. At least now he and Harry have each other and presumably other immortals.

This came highly recommended by both shocolate and annie and I have to say I agree whole-heartedly.
The picture you paint of Harry post-war is heartwrenching, but they way he changes with Sky/Matilda in his life made me laugh in places and get choked up in others.
Now, for the sexual tension... just wow. I loved the observations about The Grin (though the first time I saw the capitalization on those two words, I thought it said "The Grim" and I heard it in Seamus's voice in PoA).

Thank you! I guess children can be an awful burden, but there's always a good side to things to -- for Harry, the chance to make something more of his life than a used hero.
Oh god! That's funny in a sort of terrible way. I'm always doubtful about capitalisation, but then again if I didn't I'd have kept pointless repeating 'grin', 'grinning' etc, and I hate that.

Oh my god. That was great, worth the squeeing griffindorstudent did over it as she betaed it.
